I’m Hiking for Percy this August to raise funds for Red Nose

On 9 June in 2021 during the Covid lockdowns I gave birth to my first son, the most precious boy Percy Jiè Sōng. Just two days after he was born, Percy died suddenly and unexpectedly. My greatest joy turned into my greatest pain and sorrow in an instant. I can only describe it as feeling completely lost at sea and no life boat in sight. There is no ache quite like the feeling of empty arms that should be full of young life.

I want to support parents like me who have experienced this life altering heartbreak, and raise funds to help save little lives – that’s why I’m taking on the Red, Set, Go Challenge this August with my dear sister along for the ride.

Donate to our fundraiser now and you’ll help fund vital research that will save little lives – and provide counselling and support to families that have experienced the devastation of losing a precious baby or child.

This kind of peer support is vital in the fresh trauma and grief of having your child die. Having a bereaved parent with relatable lived experience be there for you in your darkest hour is truly a life saver.  I can’t describe how it felt to speak with another loss parent in those days it was a true salvation.

I hope you’ll support me with a kind donation today, and help make the world a bright place for the little lives and their families that need it most.
