I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!
In memory of my son Evan, I will be participating in the Red Nose Red Set Go fundraising event 🧡
Evan was my first born son and the most beautiful, perfect and healthy baby. He was happy and curious and I loved to take him for walks in our local woods in London. We shared lots of cuddles and I would sing him songs and read books to him. He was (and still is) so incredibly loved.
Tragically and unexpectedly in 2019, when he was only 6 weeks old, Evan passed away from SIDS. Despite a lot of testing, I still have no answers for why I lost my beautiful boy.
After a few years I was lucky enough to give birth to another beautiful baby boy. While this was a really happy time, it was incredibly terrifying for me as a bereaved parent. Parenting after loss is HARD and I was so convinced I'd lose this baby too.
Red Nose Charity helped me a lot during this time by providing me with free counselling as well as access to a support group.
Not only that they helped me honour and remember Evan by providing me with a memorial plaque for him to place in their garden, sending me cards on significant dates and organising community events like the Walk to Remember where my family and I could participate and speak Evan's name.
So I would like to do this fundraiser in order not only to put Evan's name out there into the world, but to also help give back to a charity that helps support bereaved parents like myself.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
