I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!
This August, I’m taking part in Red Set Go, walking 3 km every day to help raise awareness and funds for Red Nose.
Each year, around 3,000 babies and children die unexpectedly in Australia - that’s nine families every single day whose lives are changed forever.
Since becoming a mum, the way I see the world has completely changed. Every cuddle, every laugh, every milestone with my little Teddy feels like such a gift. I’m endlessly grateful that I get to hold him close each day, and I can’t help but think of the thousands of families who don’t get that same privilege.
This walk is my small way of honouring those babies, remembering those families, and helping support the incredible work Red Nose does in saving little lives and supporting those experiencing unimaginable loss.

Day 2
Sunday 2nd AugI honestly can’t believe we’re only on Day 2 and we’ve already reached 41% of my fundraising goal. Thank you so much to every single person who has donated, shared my fundraiser, or sent words of encouragement. Your support means more than I can put into words.
Today’s walk, however, didn’t quite go to plan. 😂 A large part of the track turned out to be… not exactly pram-friendly. Picture me trying to push Teddy’s pram up what felt like the steepest incline ever, on a weather-worn dirt 4WD track. Safe to say there were a few moments where I was asking myself why on earth I’d chosen this route. 🫠
As I huffed and puffed my way up the hill, feeling frustrated with the situation I’d put myself in, my perspective shifted.
I realised how incredibly fortunate I am that I even had the choice to take Teddy for a walk today. Every year, around 3,000 families - that’s nine every single day - lose a baby or child unexpectedly. They don’t get to make memories on walks, push a pram up ridiculous hills, or cuddle their little one at the end of the day.
Needless to say, I spent the rest of that climb with tears streaming down my face.
I guess today’s walk reminded me that we all get to choose our hard sometimes. And while pushing a pram up an impossible hill felt hard in the moment, I’m so grateful that I had the privilege of choosing that hard in the first place.
