I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!

Every day, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly in Australia.

This August we are going to be raising funds for red nose in honour of our beautiful Elsie. Red nose is an incredible charity that not only supports parents like us that have gone through the absolute worst nightmare in life, but helps put money towards researching the cause of sudden death in infants and children. 

We have set up a team called Chasing butterflies for Elsie as butterflies are something that always reminds us of her. 

Goldie and I will be walking 3kms a day and Ben will be running 3kms a day. 

We would love for anyone that wants to join our team or to help donate to this incredible charity to do so. 

One thing I remember the day after we lost Elsie was that my mum had called the 24/7 hotline and spoken to a lovely lady that had also gone through this unexplainable loss, she told mum to tell me that it was not my fault that this happened. These words were something so touching to hear in the first day because as a parent all you want to do is protect your children from harm and losing a child you automatically feel like you’ve failed them. Without this service from red nose I would have sat with this feeling of failure for so long before realising that it was all something I couldn’t prevent or stop. These phone calls and the services they offer are something that is invaluable for parents, aunties, uncles, grandparents of those that have lost children this way.
