Baby loss isn’t something you “get over.” It’s something you learn to carry for the rest of your life.
I know that because I live it every single day.
I lost my son, and although time has passed, the love I have for him hasn’t changed. I still wonder who he would be today, what his laugh would sound like, what milestones we would have celebrated together. Those thoughts never disappear—they become part of the life you continue to live.
One of the hardest parts of grief is how quiet it can become. The world keeps moving, while your heart still carries someone who should be here. That doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten. It means we’re loving our children in the only way we can now—by remembering them.
If you know someone who has experienced baby or child loss, don’t be afraid to say their child’s name. Don’t worry that you’ll remind them of their grief—they haven’t forgotten. What often hurts most is feeling like their child has been forgotten by everyone else.
Today, I’m sharing my son’s memory with love, and I’m standing with every parent who carries an invisible loss. Your baby mattered. Your grief is real. Your love is forever.
