I'm fundraising to support bereaved parents this August!

Our beautiful son, Alfie, should be here.

He should be laughing with his big sister, learning to walk, celebrating milestones, and filling our home with the beautiful chaos that comes with raising a little boy. Instead, we were given just nine precious days with him before we had to say goodbye.

There is no greater heartbreak than leaving the hospital without your baby, planning a funeral instead of a future, and learning how to carry a love that has nowhere to go. But one thing we've learned is that love doesn't end when a life does. It continues in the memories we hold, the conversations we have, and the ways we choose to honour Alfie every day.

This August, we're taking on the Red, Set, Go Challenge by walking 3 kilometres every day in Alfie's memory.

Every step is for our little boy.

Every step is for the babies whose lives were heartbreakingly short.

Every step is for the parents who know the unimaginable pain of losing a child.

And every step is for hope.

Red Nose does extraordinary work supporting families through the darkest moments of their lives while funding vital research that helps save little lives. We know that behind every statistic is a baby who was deeply loved and a family whose world changed forever. We also know that compassionate support and ongoing research can make an enormous difference—not only in helping families survive their grief, but in giving other babies the chance to grow up.

If Alfie's life can help create even a small amount of hope for another family, then his legacy will continue to shine.
