I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!

Every single day in Australia, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly.

Some families are given only minutes or days with their precious little ones. Others never get the chance to hear their baby cry or see them take their first breath.

Tragically, on the 8th of July, our beautiful baby girl Eloise became one of those heartbreaking statistics.

On Sunday the 7th, we were filled with excitement, getting ready to head to the hospital to meet our baby. Through the night things were slow to progress so we decided to wait a little longer before going in. But just after midnight, I woke with an overwhelming feeling of anxiety and knew something wasn’t right. We arrived at the hospital around 2am and by 3am we heard the words no parent should ever have to hear.. our baby’s heart had stopped beating.

In that moment our world shattered. Our lives have changed forever.

We will never get to hold our baby girl again, and we wouldn’t wish this kind of pain on anyone.

While there’s nothing we can do to change what’s happened we can try to help others who are walking this same heartbreaking path and support vital research that could save little lives.

That’s why we’ve decided to take on the Red, Set, Go Challenge this August by walking or running 3km everyday to raise funds for Red Nose.

Red Nose funds crucial research into the causes of stillbirth and sudden infant death, and provides counselling and support to grieving families like ours who need it more than anyone should.

If you’re in a position to donate, we would be so grateful. Every single dollar helps support grieving families and could help prevent future tragedies.

If you’re not able to donate but would love to join us in the challenge, please reach out, we’d love to have you on our team.

P.S. If you know me, you know I avoi physical activity.. I don’t even own sneakers 🥲 so taking on this challenge is a big deal for me. But for our Eloise and for all the little lives lost far too soon I’m giving it everything I’ve got.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us, and helping make the world a little brighter for the families who need it most. ❤️
