We're fundraising to support bereaved parents this August!
Our beautiful boy, Alfie, should be here.
He should be growing alongside his cousins, making memories with his big sister, and filling family gatherings with laughter and mischief. Instead, our family was given just nine precious days with him before we had to say goodbye.
The loss of a baby doesn't just change the lives of their parents. It leaves an empty place in the hearts of grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends and everyone who was waiting to watch that little life grow. Alfie was, and always will be, deeply loved by so many people.
This August, our family is coming together to take on the Red, Set, Go Challenge, walking 3 kilometres every day throughout the month in Alfie's memory.
Every step is for our beautiful boy.
Every step is for the babies whose lives were heartbreakingly short.
Every step is for the families who have had to say goodbye far too soon.
And every step is for hope.
Red Nose provides invaluable support to families experiencing the unimaginable loss of a baby or child while funding vital research to help save little lives. No family ever expects to need that support, but when the unthinkable happens, it can make all the difference. Through research, education and bereavement services, Red Nose is helping create a future where fewer families have to experience this devastating loss.
We can't change what happened to Alfie, but we can honour his life by helping create hope for others. If his legacy can help another family receive the support they need, or help prevent another family from experiencing this heartbreak, then every kilometre we walk will have meaning.
