Every day, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly in Australia.

Some families only get minutes or days with their precious little ones. Others never get to see their child take their first breath.

Our baby, Michael, was born still at 29 weeks. 

The moment you hear your baby dies, your world shatters. Then you realize what's ahead and you're in a state of disbelief, terror and pain. What mums go through is unimaginable, and as a dad/husband, you couldn't feel more helpless. 

This was the hardest time of our lives. Simple tasks can be unbearable, you need to get on with your life, go to the shops, go to work.. essentially acting like everything is ok. 

Even though time passes, not a day goes by when there is no pain. We are so blessed with the family we have, but there is still sadness and emptiness around.

I want to support parents that have experienced this unimaginable heartbreak, and raise funds to help save little lives – that’s why I’m taking on the Red, Set, Go Challenge this August! My aim is to walk a minimum of 100kms this August.
