For Henry – Walking to Remember, Walking to Save Lives
In loving memory of Henry George Spletter, who passed away suddenly in April. We are walking 3km every day this August for the Red, Set, Go Challenge with Red Nose Australia.
Henry was pure joy – full of life, laughter, and movement, he never stopped and we wouldn’t have changed him for the world. He loved being outside, running, climbing, and exploring. After we lost him, we made a promise to go outside every day for him – to see the world the way he did.
While grief has made that promise hard to keep, with the days feeling impossibly heavy this walk is our way of trying — to honour him, feel close to him, and find some purpose in the pain.
Every day in Australia, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly. We are now one of those families. We walk for Henry — and for every parent facing this unimaginable heartbreak.
