I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!
Friday 1st AugEvery day across Australia, 9 babies and young children die suddenly and unexpectedly. It’s a heartbreaking number, and one we never imagined would include our own little boy.
This August, Jarrod and I will walk or run at least 3km every day in honour of our little boy, Theo Ryder Watts. Theo was born sleeping at just 30 weeks in March this year. Though we only got to spend a few days with him, the impact he left in our hearts is forever.
We’re taking on this challenge to help raise funds for Red Nose, to support the vital research that aims to prevent these tragedies, and to ensure that grieving families receive the care and support they need when the unthinkable happens.
The Red Nose counsellors have been a huge support for us, walking alongside us during our toughest days. If we can help make this type of support available to even one more family, we’ll be forever grateful.
