I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!

Every day, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly in Australia.

Sadly, I know this heartbreak all too well.

On 30 March 2024, my beautiful son, Elijah, was born sleeping at 21 weeks. Losing him changed my life forever. It is a grief that never disappears—it simply becomes something you learn to carry every single day.

This year, I finally feel ready to take part in the Red, Set, Go Challenge, walking 3km every day throughout August in Elijah’s honour, and in memory of every precious baby and child whose life was far too short.

The loss of a child is something I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. It means watching the world keep moving while yours stands still. It means counting milestones and special days that look very different to everyone else’s. It means never hearing their first cry, seeing their first smile, celebrating their first laugh, hearing their first word, or watching them take their first steps. Instead, you carry a lifetime of love for a child you never got the chance to watch grow.

By supporting my fundraiser, you’ll be helping Red Nose continue their vital research to save little lives, while also providing counselling, education and support to families facing the unimaginable loss of a baby or child.

My fundraising goal is $500, and together we can make it happen. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps fund life-saving research and supports families who are navigating the devastating loss of a child.
