I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!
Every single day, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly in Australia.
Some families only get minutes or days with their precious little ones. Others never even get to see their baby take their first breath.
This August, I’m taking on the Red, Set, Go Challenge to honour those little lives lost far too soon - especially one in particular: Frankie. She was just three weeks old when her beautiful mom and dad, someone very close to my heart, had to say goodbye.
Going through my own pregnancy while this heartbreak unfolded was gut-wrenching. It shook me in a way I can’t explain. You think pregnancy is the hardest part, all the unknowns, the endless waiting, the worry about how they’re growing inside you. Then comes the delivery, and you breathe a sigh of relief thinking the hardest part is behind you.
But it isn’t.
There are still so many things that can go wrong. Things you can’t see. Things they can’t tell you. The fear that lives in that silence is something I’ll never forget and it gave me just a glimpse of the unimaginable grief so many families are forced to live with.
So I’m doing this in honour of Frankie, and for every baby and child who never got the chance to grow up. I’m doing this to support the families who have experienced the kind of loss no parent should ever have to face.
Your donation will help fund life-saving research, provide counselling and support to grieving families, and hopefully help save little lives in the future.
If you can, please donate to my fundraiser. It would mean the world to me and to the families who need our support the most.
Let’s make the world a brighter, safer place for all the little lives that deserve every chance to shine.
