Raising awareness for stillbirth and our darling Poppy.

Stillbirth is more common than you think.
And you always think it's not something that would ever happen to you.

It was my first baby, and she was our whole world for 9 months. Then It came crashing down, in the whispered words;

'I'm so sorry.
We can't find a heartbeat...' .

We were due to meet our little Poppy on the Friday. We'd been waiting for such a long time, through a really difficult pregnancy. But on the Monday morning, I woke up and felt something was off
She didn't wiggle the way she normally did when I stretched in bed. And I couldn't feel any resistance when rolled over. I panicked and tried everything I could think of to get a movement. After a few minutes we went to the hospital and I just thought, this can't be happening.

Nothing can ever prepare you for it. Nothing, and no one.

Our first born, our darling daughter Poppy,  was absolutely perfect. Ten fingers, ten toes, 6 pounds 4 ounces , and had the cutest button nose. Poppy was born sleeping that Monday morning.

We were so lucky to have been able to hold her for three days, as we tried to process what had just happened.
That was two years ago, and we're still processing it.

The RED TREE FOUNDATION (through red nose) was such an incredible support for us.  It's truly a phenomenal organisation. The counselling and support we were given was life saving for us.

So we'd like to give back. By helping new parents that have experienced this unimaginable heartbreak, and raise funds for the organisation to continue to support them.

We are doing the Red, Set, Go Challenge this August, and walking 3k a day to help raise funds, awareness and support for stillbirths.

Donate if you can, but we know times are tough. Though even the smallest of funds we can raise will help other parents who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a child.
