My challenge is in memory of Lainey
I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!
Every day, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly in Australia.
Some families only get minutes or days with their precious little ones. Others never get to see their child take their first breath.
Our beautiful daughter, Lainey was one of those precious little lives. She was a deeply wanted and loved daughter. When we said goodbye to Lainey, Red Nose was there for us.
One of the greatest gifts Red Nose gave our family was a beautiful swaddle, a beanie with the sweetest bow on top, matching booties and an outfit for our precious Lainey. They allowed us to dress our little girl with so much love and memorised every precious detail of our little girl. This created memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. She looked absolutely beautiful in them.
Those precious keepsakes have never been packed away. They now sit proudly on display in our home alongside Lainey. Every time we see them, we’re reminded of those irreplaceable moments we were able to share with her, and of the kindness and compassion Red Nose showed our family during the darkest time of our lives.
They are also currently supporting us through our grief by providing counselling, reminding us that no family has to face this journey alone.
Because of the kindness we’ve received, I want to support parents that have experienced this unimaginable heartbreak, and raise funds to help save little lives – that’s why I’m taking on the Red, Set, Go Challenge this August!
Every donation will help fund vital research to save little lives and ensure more grieving families receive the practical support, compassion and counselling they need during the darkest time of their lives.
If you’re able, I’d be so grateful for your support. Thank you for helping us honour Lainey’s memory and for making sure other families receive the same love and care that has meant so much to ours.
My Impact
I've helped provide 10 professional counselling sessions to families devastated by the loss of a treasured baby or child.
