Some babies don't grow up: they die during their sleep. Every day in Australia, 6 babies are stillborn and 2 die within 28 days of birth.Red Nose Day fundraises for SIDS awareness and research, and supports grieving families. The first ever in Australia was in 1988, and since then, over 1.3 million had been raised, with over one million participants "getting silly for a serious cause".
I want to support parents who have experienced unimaginable heartbreak, and raise funds to help save little lives this year.
I pledge a per-km donation for all my long runs and ask anyone wishing to support the cause to donate during the month of August - and so the world may be a bright place for the little lives and their families that need it most.
