Penelope’s Story 🦩
Sunday 12th JulPenelope was born March 3rd via emergency C-section due to a Fetomaternal haemorrhage. When Penelope was born, we were advised she had lost 30% of her blood and was without oxygen for some time. This ultimately lead to brain damage and subsequently, organ failure. We only had 3 days with our beautiful girl before she became an angel on March 6th.
A month after Penelope had passed, I attended my first support group and coffee chats making purple hearts. Although we’re still fresh in our journey, I can’t thank these Red Nose programs and volunteers enough. I found a community of people who think, feel and understand what it’s like to lose their very wanted and loved child…more often than not, we’re left wondering why.
That’s why this August I will be walking 3k a day for our Penelope and for the other families and their children. Please consider donating today to help families like ours, supporting research into prevention and if you’re unable to donate sharing our story also helps.
