I'm walking in August in memory of Otabek.

Every day, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly in Australia.

Some families only get minutes or days with their precious little ones. Others never get to see their child take their first breath.

I am one of these women. This year I lost my son, Otabek. The devastating loss is indescribable. I started walking as my way to process this and I want to use my walking and movement to support Red Nose. 

Red nose has supported my family through this unimaginable heartbreak (and so many others). Their incredible work supports so many individuals and families to navigate something no one is ever prepared for. That’s why I’m taking on the Red, Set, Go Challenge this August.

By donating to my fundraiser and you’ll help fund vital research that will save little lives – and provide counselling and support to families that have experienced the devastation of losing a precious baby or child.

I appreciate any kind donation to support Red Nose, and help make the world a bright place for the little lives and their families that need it most.

In memory of Otabek Leif who persevered against all odds and was loved more than words can describe. For him and all other little ones gone too soon.

Final Day – Red Nose August Challenge 🌹

It’s the last day of my Red Nose August challenge, and what a month it has been. Committing to 3km every day—through the rain (and there was a lot of it this August!) and the sunshine of these last few days—has been emotional, grounding, and deeply meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me. Your generosity helps Red Nose continue their incredible work, supporting families through something no family should ever have to endure.

These walks have also given me something beautiful to share with my firstborn—he now knows them as our time to look at flowers together. I hope to make this a yearly commitment, a way to honor my second born, Ottie, and to continue thanking Red Nose for everything they do for families like mine.

6am Pilates for Red Nose day

Sleepy, sweaty but did a strength pilates class (seriously humbled).

Wednesday 27th Aug
So tomorrow is Red Nose day and I planned on doing something which is uncomfortable but still worth showing up for. A 6am pilates class. I would much rather be warm and toasty in bed but I'll make this happen tomorrow with my Red Nose socks for all those parents who didn't get a choice and their little ones. (I'll post a picture tomorrow of this, hopefully not looking too tired). Sharing also a picture my son asked me draw as I rarely share any of my drawings.

Thank you to all you wonderful humans who have donated as I have reached and passed my target. You know who you are and I am grateful that your donation will help countless others. I am also finding myself despite the rain looking for pockets of colour. Sharing some wilting cherry blossoms which also seem to be over this rain but still showing their beautiful colours 🩷
