Every day in Australia, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly. Behind each of those numbers is a family whose world has been changed forever.

In 2023, I became one of those families.

At 23 weeks pregnant, we lost our beautiful baby to Triploidy, a rare genetic condition that was incompatible with life. We had to say goodbye before we ever had the chance to bring our baby home. The grief that followed was life-altering. It wasn't just the loss of our baby—it was the loss of the future we had imagined, the milestones we would never reach, and a part of ourselves that would never be the same.

Grief like this doesn't simply disappear. You learn to carry it. And through that journey, I've come to understand just how vital research, support, and compassionate care are for families facing the unimaginable.

That's why this August I'm taking on the Red, Set, Go Challenge.

I'm raising funds to help save little lives through vital research, while also ensuring families experiencing the heartbreak of losing a baby or child have access to counselling, support, and hope during their darkest days.
