I’m fundraising in Beau’s honour this August

On 22 April 2026, at 37 weeks, my youngest son Beau tragically died in labour. Losing my baby has changed the trajectory of my life…every day I still struggle to fathom this devastating loss. Sadly, I am far from alone — in Australia, 8 babies are stillborn every day, and around 1 in 3 stillbirths remain unexplained.

For many families affected by stillbirth, the lack of answers can make an incredibly difficult loss even harder to understand and process.

In Beau’s memory, I’m taking part in the 3km walk every day of August to raise funds for Red Nose Australia. My hope is that continued research into stillbirth and pregnancy loss will help improve birth outcomes, provide families with answers and understanding, and reduce the number of families who experience the devastating loss of a baby.
