I’m fundraising to save little lives this August!

This August, I’ll be walking 3 km every day in support of Red Nose Australia’s Red, Set, Go Challenge.

For me, this is so much more than a fitness challenge. It’s deeply personal.

Between the ages of 2 and 7, my family experienced the unimaginable loss of four of my siblings—Courtney (1998), Caitlin (1999), Jackson (2001) and Hayley (2003). They were all born prematurely and were taken far too soon. During those incredibly difficult years, Red Nose was there to support my family through our grief.

Some of my earliest memories are of that support. Every Christmas, we received ornaments with each of their names to hang on our Christmas tree. A beautiful reminder that they will always be part of our family. I also remember visiting the Red Nose centre in Brisbane as a young child. Those moments have stayed with me ever since.

Every step this August is for my four angel siblings—Courtney, Caitlin, Jackson and Hayley. Their lives, though far too short, will always be part of our family and part of who I am.

Every day in Australia, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly. Some families only get minutes or days with their precious little ones, while others never get the chance to meet their baby at all.

I’m walking to honour my siblings, to support families facing this unimaginable heartbreak, and to help fund the vital research, counselling and support that Red Nose provides.
