🔴Breaking My Silence, Pushing My Limits: My First Red Nose Day Challenge
Tuesday 7th JulThis is the hardest thing I have ever had to write, and this year, it will be the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
Family is my entire world, my absolute rock. But our family carries a deep, heavy heartbreak that we live with every single day.
We have had to endure the devastating, unthinkable loss of my Aunty and my two little brothers to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Three beautiful lives taken from us far too soon.
For years, the grief has been a quiet weight. But this year, I knew I couldn't stay still. I needed to do something. I needed to turn our heartbreak into a purpose.
The Reality of My 3 KM Daily Challenge 🩹
For my first Red Nose Day challenge, I have committed to walking 3 KM every single day.
To most, a 3 KM walk sounds simple. But I live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Because of this condition, every single kilometer is going to take an immense physical toll on me. My joints, my muscles, and my energy will be pushed to their absolute limits. There will be days of intense pain and sheer exhaustion. But every time my body wants to quit, I will think of my brothers and my Aunty. I am putting my body through this because their memory deserves nothing less, and because future families deserve a world where SIDS no longer exists.
Why I Need Your Help:
I cannot do this alone. I am fighting through the pain, but I need you to help me make it count. Every donation funds vital, life-saving research to stop SIDS and provides 24/7 grief support for families who have experienced the same nightmare we have.
