Fueling Up for Red Nose Day – One Step (and Sip) at a Time
We're fundraising to save little lives this August!
At St Anthony’s School in Alexandra Hills, we are guided by the belief that words teach and actions speak. This August, our staff are putting that belief into practice by taking part in the Red Nose Australia Red, Set, Run Challenge.
Every day in Australia, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly. Some families only get minutes or days with their precious little ones. Others never get to see their child take their first breath. It is a heartbreak no one should have to face. We want to support those families and do what we can to help prevent others from experiencing the same pain.
That is why our staff team, St Anthony’s Heart and Sole, is lacing up and committing to each moving three kilometres every day throughout the month of August. Whether it’s running, walking, swimming, cycling or racing to make copies between lessons, every step is in support of life-saving research and vital support services for families in grief.
What makes this effort so powerful is the way it brings our staff together. Teachers from across year levels, with different interests and backgrounds, are united by a shared commitment to make a difference. We are educators, carers, parents and community members who believe in hope, action and heart.
